EUROCODES
These are the current building regulations and standards in European union.
They entered into force in Bulgaria on January 1 2015.
HOW THIS AFFECTS THE FINAL PRICE OF CONSTRUCTION?
It strongly depends on type of structure, loads and designation of the building.
Experience has shown that desiging with Eurocodes rises the price of structure on 10-15%.
Compared to the total cost in construction, this is barely noticeable.
It should be borne in mind that, Eurocodes provide far more safety, especially in seismic situations, which tends to be a good investment in safety.
